Meet Izzy
Izzy's dad never thought he would hire a dog walker. Who could handle this high energy, opinionated, often fearful dog who reacts to just about everything? Then he needed knee surgery with three months rehabilitation. Izzy was not a good fit for doggy day care. So, I was hired for those three months and warned about her reactivity. In that short span of time, she made so much progress
that I became her permanent dog walker. What's the secret? Everything that she reacted to became something to overcome. We would tolerate it together, for longer and longer periods of time. Then she got praise and a treat - both huge motivators for her. Squirrels, barking dogs, garbage trucks, bicycles, cats, construction... Look what I can do! Good girl, Izzy, good girl.
